For only $2, one tree is planted and nursed
up to 12 years, providing clean oxygen for the atmosphere
before it is modularly harvested on the 12th year to finance
another cycle of planting resulting to a sustainable forest
tree farming. This cycle continues until we realize our mission
of planting 1 million trees and beyond.
Planting trees in the right places for the right reasons is
the best dollar-for-dollar investment you can make to improve
our environment. We plant to repair disaster or flood damage
- have cleaner air -- reclaim abandoned strip mines or farms
- prevent erosion into river streams - fight back invasive
species of trees - and make cooler, cleaner cities. Trees
reduce greenhouse gases by absorbing carbon dioxide, save
energy, help filter our water, and so much more!
Here's how you can be part of our tree campaign:
Support from concerned people like you is critical
to our success. You can do your own share to help our mission
realized.

Every year, the equivalent of thirty billion
tons of carbon dioxide emissions enter the global atmosphere.
There is general agreement within the scientific community
that this is leading to global warming. As a result sea levels
are beginning to rise and there is evidence of great changes
already taking place in the world's climate and rainfall patterns.
These concerns were largely responsible for the Global Environmental
Summit in Rio in 1992 where 164 nations, including the United
States, signed a global climate change treaty.
Recent studies indicate that the most efficient means of reducing
atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide is to restore tree cover
to barren lands. Because the world loses more than 40 million
acres of forests annually, there is ample opportunity to address
two extremely serious threats through this one activity: planting
trees.
Over more than 20 years, forestry technicians have developed
projects that demonstrate how to restore degraded forests,
in a simple and extremely cost effective way. This is possible
by gaining the voluntary participation of the local people
of these communities and working cooperatively with them to
design projects that bring them fast and continuing benefits.
We have developed Earth Sphere's sustainable forestry and
tree farming program to get individuals and businesses involved
in reversing the movement towards global warming. This involves
taking personal responsibility for the carbon we generate.
By planting enough trees to more than equal
our carbon output from different activities, such as driving,
flying in airplanes, and manufacturing products, we turn these
otherwise carbon-producing activities into global cooling
actions.
... it doesn't cost much, but wouldn't the
world be a "cool" place if everybody was personally
responsible for their environmental impact?
