Why the bagras Plant? Vagrass provides the world more healthy, livable and affordable.
Two hundred years ago, the United States was a nation of farmers. Today, 80% of us live in urban and suburban areas. As our population continues to grow and sprawl into the surrounding environment, our neighborhood of trees and forests is being lost. This loss is more than sentimental-it carries an economic price tag. We are working to change this situation with our Tree Planting Project. We offer communities a solid economic argument for retaining trees and forests. Our evidence is based on more than 20 years of work examining the dollar value of urban and regional forest ecosystems. Vagrass offers environmental benefits, such as air pollution reduction, energy savings, and stormwater management. We can help you convince policymakers that tapping into the hidden value of trees and forests is essential to creating livable communities.	Regional Ecosystem Analysis AMERICAN FORESTS conducts Regional Ecosystem Analyses (REAs) of major metropolitan areas to gauge the extent of tree loss and provide communities with solid information for decisionmaking. We have conducted REAs in Atlanta, the Puget Sound region, the Chesapeake Bay watershed, the Canton-Akron metro area, and other areas across America. We welcome inquiries from community leaders, foundations, businesses and civic groups who are interested in having us perform an REA of their area.
