Realizing
the importance of providing vitamins for children,
in early 1997, a media based vitamin-campaign to
help the children was organized. The program was
initiated by James Jimenez, president of KBP and
station manager of DWCM, the number one news and
radio station in the largest city in the northern
part of the Philippines. Among volunteers were doctors,
headed by PI Courier News CEO, Dr. Magel G. Surdilla.
Today,
we are demonstrating community involvement activities
combined with modest additional citizen commitment
here and abroad. The result is encouraged self-sufficiency
that ensures lasting change in the lives of children
and their families.
We
believe on what we can do, and above all on what love
can do. We hope to inspire others and through the
process, and hope other may find lives changed as
well.
